Cleveland has so much fun to offer! Here are a few local links and resources to help you plan a children's outing.

Downtown Cleveland:

Children's Museum of Cleveland An interactive and hands-on experience for kids (up to age 8) and adults to enjoy together. 

​

Cleveland Botanical Gardens Kids will marvel at the exciting adventures that await.  

​

Cleveland Museum of Art The permanent collection is available to visit free of charge.  Here are some tips from the museum on how to have a successful visit with young children. 

​

Cleveland Museum of Natural History – Exhibits include dinosaur bones, natural gemstones and fossils, and a huge section on native Ohio species.  A planetarium teaches kids and adults all about the moon, stars, and the galaxy. 

​

Great Lakes Science Center - The Polymer Funhouse lets children 7 and younger stretch, shake, build pull and play with polymers of all types in the special area. A ball pit and playland means that it's friendly for all ages. 

​

Greater Cleveland Aquarium Features more than 40 tanks of all sizes, which are home to thousands of living creatures. From the Ohio-native brook trout, to the ferocious piranhas, as well as sand tiger sharks that reach more than 7 feet long. 

 

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - Cleveland's most popular attraction is fun for visitors of all ages.

Western Reserve Historical Society Crawford Auto & Aviation Museum - It's bumper-to-bumper fun for the little ones. The museum showcases nearly 200 antique, vintage, and classic automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, and aircraft.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo & Rainforest  The Zoo and indoor Rainforest are open all year round and home to more than 3000 animals representing 600 species, including the largest collection of primate species in North America.

Lake Metroparks FarmparkA family oriented science and cultural center devoted to agriculture, farming, and country life. 

 

Penitentiary Glen  - Features a nature playground and wildlife center.
